Holidays

I know I know that I have not been posting again. Of course, in my blame free world of self denial or some such other words that make sense - it's Spescha's fault this time. She is here and there is talking - loads.

Of note is the exam story from Friday week ago now. I am a distance student, so I go to an exam centre that Monash has set up in my town. Other DE students go and so I sat exams with psych students and IT students, both undergraduate and post like myself. My exam on that Friday was the final exam of the whole exam period for semester 1 2007. I was the last one scheduled and the last one in the room. There was only three in the beginning of the exam, so I did not have that much company to begin with, but that would ruin the lonely illusion. My exam went till 4.30pm and by 3pmish I was alone. Soon after this happened the invigilator asked me if I would like a cup of tea. After I said yes and the tea was on my exam table with me, the invigilator brought over a large tub of biscuits. Yes, biscuits to have with my tea. SO in the final exam I sipped my tea whilst eating a TIM TAM. Do you think this was an unfair advantage?

The other story of note is that I have a new job. Well in fact I now have two jobs, one of them is the usual working at Boffins kinda deal and the other is working at Curtin University as a Trainee Librarian. I am going to work reference desk at a university library! It is only 10 hours a week, but it is good news and good pay and will set me up to get a great job at the end of it. Who knows where I will end up working in 2008!?

you are playing warcraft huh? is that the traditionl warcraft or the "world of" kind. bet your looking for a 17yr old somewhere to poach.

thats great news on the librarian front. i need some help visualising it though so bear with me. i need you to describe your glasses, glasses chain, cardigan, vest, woolen jumper and is the name badge lamintated or just a sticker.

i really cant wait to hear when you get a full time job as an archivist or something similar. i will feel a mixture of pride and arrogance. pride for you and arrogance because i am friends with someone who trained for years to become a fully qualified librarian and that is something i think is as fundementally cool as smoking.

Flynnski - so wonderful to hear your voice. I am certainly not into 17 year olds - at least not any more.
As for the librarian visualisation, honey, its what you cannot see that makes me one of those librarians. ;)
But I do have all of those things you mention, as well as flair.
Regarding smoking - I am still a non smoker - one year tomorrow. Smoking aint that cool, fundamentally or superficially.
Love ya work.
