Terse Pants

I have started using terse again. I have word moods I think. Perhaps they reflect my behaviour. I am not feeling terse, but I am using to describe the emails I was sending at work today - even saying that I was putting my terse pants on. What a nob.
Talking of words and nobs, my boss called me on a word today. I said, "dufusly", to which he asked what that meant. Of course I replied that it was an attribution...that one can have the ability to behave in a dufus like manner. He then asked me what dufus meant and this is when I started spluttering about being a word sooth and voice of a generation and other such drivel. So I thought I might look up the word 'dufus' on dictionary.com
Definition: an incompetent and stupid, though well-meaning, person; also called [doofus]
And in saying the word, as my boss kindly pointed out, I was being what I was trying to say. Oh well.

I have brain freeze from bangers and mash. That is how it is in the southern hemisphere.
